Chic Garden Elegance - An Outdoor Ottawa Wedding

Alison and Daniel's outdoor, private estate wedding in Ottawa was an absolute Al Fresco dream come true, and not a single detail was spared.

The sweet couple is one of those perfect blends of style-loving meets laid back. They wanted an elegant affair but also wanted an environment that didn't feel stuffy, where guests could enjoy the serene beauty with a relaxed air.

The couple opted to host their ceremony and reception at the parent's of the bride's private estate in Dunrobin, Ontario, which features gorgeous, tree canopied walking paths to a stunning lookout; the perfect place for a scenic landscape ceremony overlooking the Gatineau Hills. Ali's mother happened to have a collection of free standing, stained glass windows which were used to line the winding path leading to the ceremony location. En route, guests were greeted with a halfway bar where they could grab a specialty cocktail and a fan to help beat the heat.

Following the wedding ceremony, guests were welcomed to location #2 with a pop up cocktail bar and passed canapés, before heading to location #3, an enormous open air tent that felt like a secret garden paradise.Farmhouse tables with suspended floral arrangements, overhead organic greenery vines and string lighting adorning the tent, invited guests in for a family style meal.

Place settings offered guests a beautifully designed menu highlighting the multi-course family style meal, with a matching place card box filled with forget me not seeds. On the menu's reverse, a beautiful note from Ali and Dan, thanking guests for sharing their special day and explaining the significance of the seeds, the symbol of the Alzheimer's Society of Canada, which struck close to home for the couple.

To conclude the evening, luxury lounge areas and blanket favours were set for guests to curl up under the stars and chat while looking out over the dance floor.
